I’ve been using the handle Altealice everywhere for the last 6 to 7 years. And I mean everywhere. WordPress, Twitter, PogzNet PvPGN BattleNet server, Garena (GG Client), DotA-Allstars forums, GODen, and all other forums I needed a login to. I’ve used it in my MMORPG characters in all MMOs I’ve played. Ragnarok (pRO, aeRO), Tantra, Flyff, Perfect World, Pirate King Online, Holic, Fiesta, Requiem, Grand Chase, and most recently in the Rohan PH Closed Beta Test. After Rohan CBT, there was a wipe before the transition to Open Beta, so I had to recreate my characters. I did so when I got home on the first day of Open Beta. But alas, the game did not permit me to.

Yeah, you know I’m pissed. I don’t know who it is. Maybe someone I’ve owned multiple times in Garena DotA pretending to be me so people will worship him for having 1337 gaming skillz. I don’t know. Whoever he is, DAMN HIM TO HELL.

And would you know it, my sister just happened to cross paths with the gay bitch. She even saved me a screencap for proof.

Full Metal Alchemist/TK Warehouse Sale Win

After my company’s sportsfest earlier today, I passed by the Toy Kingdom warehouse sale before going home. Why did I go there? Well, boredom mostly. Anyway, I managed to find some Full Metal Alchemist figures being sold for only 200 bucks each. Holy crap, thats an imba bargain, considering they were originally priced 1,195php! It was the same set I already have 4/5 figures of (which I bought last year when the price went down to 545php), so I guess Lady Fate was telling me it is about time to get the full set. Only 3 out of the 5 figures in the set were available. Fortunately, they still have the figure that I’m missing, the Edward Elric B figure (Edward showing his automail arm). 

But then I remembered that I have a TK gift card worth 500php. So I went ahead and got an extra Edward Elric A and Liza(or Riza) Hawkeye figure for my office workdesk. It was like I bought 3 figures regularly worth 3,585php for only 100php. EPIC WIN! ^_^

Can’t Get Enough

While eating dinner earlier this evening, I realized that all 4 restaurants I’ve visited in the last 2 days were all Japanese.

Thursday Lunch: Had a Demi Hamburg at Tokyo Cafe, at the Mall of Asia

Thursday Dinner: Got a Shio Ramen and Tonkatsu at Rai Rai Ken, Mall of Asia

Friday Lunch: Chicken Teriyaki with Kakiage Tempura at BentoPop, Tektite (my office building)

Friday Dinner: a very filling Sukiyaki at JiPan, Megamall

It was my first time to try JiPan. They had a surprisingly good Miso Soup (yes, the Sukiyaki meal came with Miso Soup. Don’t know why). Definitely have to come back and try the other stuff on the menu.

All that japanese food, and still haven’t eaten a Shirashi-don (which is what I was craving for originally). Oh well, maybe I’ll try Oki Oki again sometime, even though its a bit pricey.

Still Unwell

That CCS Monte Vista trip last Oct 4-5 didn’t end so well. I got a really bad fever when I woke up on Sunday, but still had to drive home from Laguna. Fortunately, no accidents involving me took place on the way home. But when I reached home at around 4:30, I dropped on the sofa and didn’t move. I just lay there, hot with a 39.3°C fever and semi-conscious with a really bad headache. Been a while since I had one that strong, and it sucked.

Ended up not going to work on Monday as I still had a 38+°C fever and a really bad case of cough and colds. But the thing is, it was the last day to submit this BIR paper thingy which will permanently void me of tax exemptions if I failed to submit it. Thankfully, office admin agreed to let me submit Tuesday morning. So I went to work on Tuesday, but I was not really well. Still a little feverish, but sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. I was able to submit it in the morning, but I really should have taken the afternoon off. Ended the day feeling worse than I did in the morning, so I really had no choice but to take Wednesday off. 

One good thing that did happen on that week was DotA 6.55 and 6.55b came out. It had the longest changelog in a DotA version to date, and quite a bit of changes really affecting how the game is currently played. I was happy. 🙂

So I spent Wednesday resting in front of the TV and my laptop, watching some NatGeo stuff and reading up on the DotA changes. I could hardly wait to try it out, but didn’t want to waste the effort to lose with noob teammates, I decided to wait until my friends arrived home from work. We delivered some unanswered pwnage in Garena that night. Gotta love the smell of noobs dying.

Went to work on Thursday, but ended up coughing the entire day. I guess I aggravated myself yet again. Not being fully well + commuting to work passing through Pasay = sickness. (Seriously, everything in Pasay needs to be cleaned up and sterilized. Specially the air, or the lack of its breatheable components…). So as to not inflict further harm on myself, I decided to take Friday and Saturday on SL as well.  (and I was a bit enjoying being able to watch some daytime TV again. Hehe.)

Coughing started to subside to a reasonable amount at about Monday, so I went to work then. I had to drive Mom to work anyway, so I guessed I’d better go myself too. Still has cough until now (it’s Tuesday night), but its already semi-bearable. 

Also another treat that (maybe) sped up my recovery: DotA 6.56 was released Monday. Not as much changes like the one the week before, but still some minor improvements and balance changes They rightfully lessened the imbaness on Enchantress’ Untouchable (Arun was having way too much fun with it to be legal), nerfed Captain Obvious, and adjusted a few other stuff. That version felt less like Widotar than the last one.

Status Update

A bunch of random stuff. I’ll stick it up to one post.

I woke up at 3pm today. No shit. It was cold today with a signal #2 storm, so sleeping was goooooooood. But then I realized that my work-free holiday was almost gone, I decided to get up.

I got one of the CDR-King USB arcade sticks yesterday, and for 550php it was a very good bargain. Buttons are good, responsive enough to make FRC combos in Guilty Gear XX #Reload. They are big too, and spacing between buttons is just right for me. The stick has a circular base, which is the one I prefer, as opposed to the old PS1 arcade stick and USB converter I got which had a square-based stick. A very good deal, since I play a lot of fighting games on the PC. I just need some more practice on Melty Blood AC before going for some netplay. Thanks to Arun for making me go to CDR-King to buy that mic for Skype-DotA, which has never occured until now. 

I also started reading the Full Metal Alchemist manga. My sister has books 1-15 excluding 13. The story is different from the anime, so it doesnt feel like I already know what will happen next. I’m currently at book 4, going at a rate of 1 book per day. 

Coral will be released soon. I will make a post as soon as it’s released. Too bad some of my enhancements may not make it to the release. *tears*
